Empowering Financial Literacy Education

Our mission is to empower students from kindergarten through 12th grade with essential financial knowledge and skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Our curriculum is meticulously designed to meet the diverse needs of learners, creating an engaging and supportive environment where educators can cultivate financial literacy in their classrooms. By teaching core financial concepts, we aim to equip students with the decision-making skills needed for future financial success.

Standards & Objectives

For each standard, we have developed clear and measurable objectives that articulate what students should know and be able to do. These objectives guide lesson planning and enable educators to track student progress effectively. By establishing targeted learning outcomes, we ensure that our curriculum is focused and aligned with best practices in financial education.

Animated Videos

Learning about money is now out of this world! For our youngest learners, we've created an engaging animated series that teaches financial literacy basics. Each episode blends education with imagination, featuring colorful characters, relatable storylines (some even set on a planet far, far away), and real-world financial lessons that stick.

Financial Literacy Digital Resource Library

In addition to our APEF lessons, we've gathered other available financial literacy resources that are reputable and reliable into one easily accessible site.

Whether you're a parent or teacher looking to better instruct students in personal finance, an individual wanting to learn more about your own personal finances, or a state looking to access sample legislation as you pursue their own financial literacy goals, you'll find it in our library.

Nation's Report Card on
Financial Literacy

We believe that every student should be taught financial literacy before they graduate high school, but often that doesn't happen. We know that fixing a problem often begins with taking an honest look at where we stand- wondering how your state stacks up when it comes to financial literacy education? The fourth edition of our national report on K-12  personal financial education in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico comes out this fall. Take a look at our 2023 edition through the link below.
